Hi,

New here, but joined CC about a year ago. However, I've been too intimidated and unsure of how to get started. Just plain undecided on what I should write. I came back to CC because I'm determined to write and submit some articles this week to see if it is a site that I can grow to love.

Welcome to CC. How about looking at something that you recently did and writing an article on that? For example, this weekend, did you go anywhere special? Let's say you went to Disneyland. How about an article along the lines of "Tips for Beating the Crowds at Amusement Parks." Did you spend your weekend researching dishwashers because your dishwasher at home finally broke? How about an article about "Must-have Features in Kitchen Appliances" or "Extended Warranties: Are they worth the price?" The public request list is a good place to start too. Another idea is to browse through the recently sold list and see what's selling. Right now there are articles that sold covering cooking, online dating, remodeling, short sales, and travel. This proves that customers are buying articles in those categories. Try not to be paralyzed by the many options and CC's nuances - write something, see what happens, adjust if needed, and keep going.

Thank you. I went to the movies so I may start with a movie review on that. I'll also check out the places that you mentioned.

Took your advice Celeste, and I have submitted my first article. I'm not sure how long the review times are at CC, but I'll be waiting on pins and needles.

Thank you for the inspiration. I may not have had a eureka moment yet, but the atmosphere at CC is wonderful.

My first article that I submitted around 4am, was reviewed and accepted without edits a few hours later. Woohoo. Off to write some more.
