Greetings, colleagues! My name is Christopher Douglass, and I'm giving writing freelance the old college (dropout) try. 
I wanted to say hi in the proper place for it, but I also posted a waaaay wordy thread in the "Common Place" forum, since I had some questions but also felt like bloviating.
