I've just had my third article accepted here so I now feel it's safe to introduce myself. Most of my work has been for magazines in the past and I've got really fed up with rejections because my queries and pieces landed on an editors desk at just the wrong time, and they get around to letting me know some three to six months later.
I joined CC as soon as I discovered it because a) it's a wonderful opportunity to find out what's needed at the right time, and b) to have my stuff show pieced and not have to waste time sending it out when it might bounce back. It obviously works well for lots of authors. No doubt I'll soon find out if it's going to work for me.
Anyway, long live CC.

Would that I had meant sales, but actually I meant not rejected. (Only had my first rejected because I forgot to intial cap the title, and shouldn't be guilty of that again).
