Happy St. Paddy's Day everyone.

I'm fairly new to CC. After about 14 years of writing in corporate environments, I retired and am working hard at transitioning to freelance writing.

My most recent day gig was primarily designing and developing classroom training and e-learning, work aids, tutorials, manuals, with some occasional business document design thrown in for good measure.

I'm happy to have opportunities to expand my horizons and Constant Content seems like a good opportunity for that.

welcome!

Welcome, SunnyCee! Your previous work experience as a corporate classroom trainer, etc. reminded me of my previous work doing the same, um, about 13 years ago. I guess you started the time I was moving into the freelance business.

I hope you enjoy the business. You'll have a good source of articles from your corporate background. I relied on my training expertise for articles and queries for at least the first 2-3 years of my freelancing. Corporate freelance writing work can be quite profitable.

Best of luck,
Mary B.

Thanks, Mary B.

I appreciate your welcome message. I haven't yet decided whether to go after work in my area of expertise or explore new paths... or all of the above. I'm writing on Helium too, which is giving me a pretty good idea of what appeals to a very diverse public, and where my strengths are (I already know about that regarding training stuff).

While I'm doing my exploration, I'm picking up a few projects, the best of which is my first book ghostwriting/editing, and otherwise tend to stick with topics I'm knowledgeable about and can put together quickly. That's kind of limiting, but I keep learning about more and more subjects, while collecting a bit of cash for the editing and ghostwriting. So, I'm getting somewhere, but am not sure exactly where yet.

Next major project: try to find the CD that has the earlier training work on it and update/recycle whatever is still relevant. What an adventure (trying to find the CD, I mean).

Cheers
Sunny C
