Can I resubmit an article that has been purged for Plagaris

I am guilty. I just ran the purged article through Copyscape and it had two phrases (not whole sentences) in it that were plagarized - one was from my source article and another from an article I hadn't seen. This can be easily fixed but I'm not sure if I should resubmit my material or not. I've been reading horror stories from other writers who have had their accounts deleted. This is a very difficult chemistry article that I worked on for quite a while. Should I fix my article and resubmit it or just forget it

I forgot to include the title of the purged article. It is "The Properties and Uses of Alkanes."

Surprised you still have your account after plagiarism. I wouldn't resubmit.
