Rejection of first article

Post by sanjaychak »

My first article "History of Autosurfing" was rejected on the grounds that only completely original content is acceptable. I admit that my article utilises facts that I acquired by rummaging through the web. But hey, we are talking about history here, so there is bound to be some reuse. Other than that, the sentences, the flow, etc. are my own intellectual property, so I considered it to be original content.

Please educate me so that I do not repeat the same mistakes again. I wish to establish myself as a serious writer, so any feedback will be accepted joyfully and positively.

There was a whole section taken directly from another source. This is not "rummaging around the web" or legitimate "reuse" of information. It is plagiarism, which we take seriously on Constant Content. We cannot accept this article.

I certainly need to be more watchful. Thanks for pointing out.
