Short summaries must be original

I had an article rejected recently and I just wondered what it meant, "Short summaries must be original."

I'm guessing you may have copied the first paragraph or two of the article? We're supposed to summarize the article in this area, not cut and paste the introductory paragraphs. Just my guess. Hope it helps.

This is correct. Our guidelines state that short summaries must be original - they should not be copied from the article itself and they should offer useful information to the potential buyer.
