Docx

Post by jjmcge »

Hi, I am a newbie here. I seem to be having difficulty getting past the submission of my articles. I think I understand everything except the notation that said we do not accept submissions in docx. Can you help me understand what is meant by docx. Thanks so much, I love the site. I really don't want to be removed until I have learned how to submit articles.

Thanks so much for your help,

John

The .docx file extension is the default file format for Word 2007. Unfortunately, it's not yet widely used so CC doesn't accept files with this extension. If you have Word 2007, simply go to the Office button and chooose Save As > Word 97 to 2003 document. This saves it in the more universally used .doc format. Good luck!

Thanks so much Celeste. After I posted the note I started looking on the blog. I found the format note. So my last submission was in rtf format. I only submitted one this time so I would see if everything worked. I truly appreciate your help.
