Sorry Ed

Post by Elizabeth Ann West »

Sorry Ed for the recent article, Recession Proof Your Family Finances. I took another look at it and tightened up the beginning intro. I also added subject heading to break it up better. Basically, I wrote it out of anger (I was so tired of seeing financial expert after financial expert saying average Americans have nothing to fear, like they fell and smacked their little heads on the pavement and forgot about trickle down economics....) So, I wrote the article from the heart and pulled out some tried and true blue collar ways to make pennies scream my parents had to use. We only had one car growing up, I had to ride my bike 2 miles to go to my piano lesson, and my sisters and I had 30 minutes of TV an evening each that was it (there was also only 1 tv).

Hopefully this will make the article more clear, because I think it's an important piece to get out there right now.

:) ad infinitem,

Hey, no problem. The article just needed some polishing. I do agree that this is a timely topic. There is a lot of talk about what this financial meltdown means for "the market" and corporations/banks, but little discussion about what it means for average people. Other writers should take a cue from the financial section of the newspaper, too. When the headlines are plastered with a topic, it's likely customers are going to be seeking articles that explain it, too.

Thanks!
