draft copy

When you give a rejection and say "this appears to be a draft copy," do you mean
a. this is obviously the wrong file, perhaps a brainstorm version
b. look carefully for one or two mistakes
c. something is underlined in red
d. the whole thing is a mess

Hopefully there will be no "next time" for us, but just in case, it would be helpful to know what screams -draft copy!- to you.

You are the only authors from whom I get this - there are edited parts of your article (strikeouts and highlighted text with mouseover explanations). I just mean that I'm requesting your final version without the changes visible. I recognize you're doing this as a duo, so just tag someone to give it a final look before submitting to ensure customers will receive a clean copy. If it was something else, I'd let you know!

Thanks, Ed! We didn't think of that possibility. Yes, we use Word's edit features as we pass it back and forth for editing. We'll be sure to strip the editing features before we send them.
