"We could not accept your content, "Street Psychology: Seeing Through Smokescreens"

We could not accept your content, "Is It Possible to Date Without Breaking Your Bank?"
We accept only completely original content."
I wrote both of these articles myself, from scratch (they were not rewrites of other articles)
I wonder if this means that CC is asserting that the content of these articles was plagiarized or rewritten from another article; that the same articles appear elsewhere on the internet; or that the topics themselves were not sufficiently original?

hey david, I'm sure you'll get a more specific response from Ed (although it's late on Friday so don't expect something until Monday), but I wanted to give you a hint to run your work through copyscape. If there is a high percentage of terms used, then it may have been flagged. I get this a lot at demandstudios when I write articles that are techie and the syntax is static. Check yourself through copyscape and you'll see what CC is seeing and why you were flagged.
Don't feel bad though. I was rejected 3 times before I got my act together on here. :)

Is it OK to delete your own article from your website and then submit the same article to CC for full rights purchase, or do full rights articles have to be "never before published"?

Re: Completely original content
That's probably it. If the articles appear on your personal website or elsewhere, they can only be resold here for usage - even if you delete them from your site. So, yeah, never before published if you want unique or full rights.

Re: Completely original content
Articles are not indexed by search engines here. If you had the content up on your website, chances are it is archived, and/or someone lifted it from your site and used it without permission. So while you may have held the rights, it was technically published in that others could easily read and disseminate it to others. Try searching a few key phrases from the article. Content theft is all too common. :/ As long as you can show somehow the articles are yours (like your real name matches the author name listed etc.) you shouldn't have an issue selling for use.
Re: Completely original content
Articles that cannot be verified as original to the author are rejected. All submissions must also be priced according to our licensing structure.
