Rejection with no real reason

Post by eloops »

I am new here, and my first article was approved quickly. For my second I got a message saying that it was rejected for- see guidelines. That was it. Nothing specific. So, I looked again at the guidelines, and yes, I did folow all of them. I amnot really sure what exactly I could change. Does this happen often where the editors just say to see guidelines. It was not very helpful and I don't know what to do. Any ideas?

I'm sorry, but if your article was rejected for not following the guidelines, your article did not follow our guidelines. Please read our guidelines in their entirety.

Submissions Must Not Include:

Poetry, fiction, op-eds, or first-person POV (Why Aren't Personal Accounts Allowed?)

Technical Submission Requirements:
12 pt Arial or Times New Roman font
The short summary must be an original description of the entire article, at least 30 words long
A full 1/3 of the article must be excerpted in the long summary

Thank you,
Ed

I understand. But, I did check those things and my article did follow everything. It may have been possible that the font was off. For the last few weeks my word processing program has been changing font size without me doing anything. Every other thing on the list was there though. Should I make sure that the font is correct and resubmit?
