"Please Do Not Resubmit"

I was really silly and submitted a article as an .odt file. I got a message saying

Unfortunately, we can no longer consider this article for approval. Please do not resubmit.

Please submit in doc, rtf, or txt file type.

Does this mean that it's okay to save it as the correct file type and resubmit it, or that they don't want to see my article again in any form?

How many times did you try to submit the same article? After 2-3 times of trying to fix the error and you still can't get it right, they send that message. So, if you only submitted it once and made a mistake, I'd go ahead and try again and leave a note. If this has been your 2-3rd time trying to get it right, I'd just post it somewhere else. They are basically saying "Forget it..don't try anymore."

For the record, I heard from support today and they told me to just resubmit it in the correct format.
