A quick rejection question.

Post by BurningPlanet »

Hello and congratulations on what appears to be a very respectable writing site. I submitted an article and had it rejected. Here were the reasons outlined in the email:

"We could not accept your content, 'Freelance Writing Opportunities for Students' You may ask usage rights only for articles published elsewhere."

I feel like that second sentence could possibly be read a few different ways. I assume since this article is on Helium.com as well that this is the reason for the rejection? So I should resubmit and only check "usage rights"?

If there are multiple reasons for rejction, are they all included? Or is it only the main reason with possibly more reasons for rejection that will come up later?

I fear the "three strikes law" I have heard about concerning writer submissions. I want to be as careful as possible here. Thank you for taking the time to reply.

You may not ask "full" or "exlusive" rights for articles published elsewhere. Please resubmit.

Articles are checked for errors only after they have been submitted properly, so your article may still be rejected.

Thanks,
