Rejection of Article

Post by broteem »

Sir
I have submitted an article titled " Morality Test for the Medical Professionals in China" and the same has been rejected twice.
I shall learn more if you kindly help me identify the errors in it.
I have reviewed the article by Microsoft Office Words 2007 thrice and have followed the instructions in respect of spelling and grammar.
I like to know if I shall be allowed to submit more articles despite the current rejections.
Please help me and oblige.
Regards.

Hello broteen,

I'm happy to review the article if you'd like to PM it to me. My suggestion is not to submit it a third time if you haven't changed anything.

Some common reasons for rejections (from my own experience and reading others' work):

1) passive voice...watch passive verbs. Most of the time, you can eliminate them altogether to make a stronger sentence. This is common with people who aren't native english speakers. The only thing I can suggest in this case is to read reputable sources. Passive voice is hard to avoid and common with non-native speakers. It really stands out when you read these articles.
2) pronoun misuse ...make sure they match...another one of my common errors
3) odd sentence structure. For instance, make sure the sentence structure makes sense to a reader. It may help to get someone else to read it to see if they understand. Sometimes, with my stuff, I reread it a couple days later and it doesn't make sense to me, the author!
4) commas...the other bane of my existence
5) keyword stuffing...it makes articles sound horrible

PS. If you've already been suspended, then you can't submit articles.

Authors are responsible for finding their own errors, and authors should have sufficient knowledge of writing rules and standards because grammar checkers cannot be relied upon to catch errors.

Thanks,
