It varies upon number of articles waiting for review, number of customer requests, and other factors.

The articles I submit for public requests usually are reviewed the same day, but depending on how many private and public request submissions are in the queueu, the articles I submit on spec take from one day to several weeks. An article I submitted on 8/26 was approved on September 2, probably because there was a huge rash of public requests during that time period.
