After reading through a few previous, similar posts in this forum, I think I've figured out my own issue. I sub'd a private request to the wrong private request and received an alarming revision message. The thing is, both my husband and I were somehow blind to the reason for the rejection when we read the email, and what struck both of us was the line "Unfortunately, we can no longer consider this article for approval. Please do not resubmit." Sorry, CC, but that seemed like a mistake, or a bit harsh for a generic message to everyone who gets revision messages. I only submitted the article once, but it makes it sound as though I've peppered the site with resubmissions. The correct (only) reason for rejection was: "Please submit this article under the appropriate private request."
Ed, I'm resubmitting the article without internal changes, but I'll change the file name.
Whew! My heart didn't need that.
