My latest article was rejected because of a spelling error. Thankfully, they told me what it was: I used 'Gouverneur Morris' instead of 'Governor Morris'.
Here's the thing: 'Gouverneur' isn't a misspelled title, it's honest-to-goodness Mr. Morris's first name. How do I go about straightening this out and resubmitting?

Re: Article Rejected Over 'Misspelled' Name
That happens sometimes. I'd resubmit with a short note in the summary letting the editors know like this:
*** Note to Editors: 'Gouverneur' is Mr. Morris's first name. He is not a governor. *****
