Anyone know what happened to a recent public request?

I usually test the waters with a few individual articles to be sure the voice and style match their needs then bundle into more manageable lots. I just can't imagine interrupting the work flow every 100 words to do the "submit an article" process over and over and over and over
Then when bundling, I do what I can each day and submit. That way, the customer has a steady supply and doesn't have to wait too long to start posting to their websites.
But if they want them as individual submissions, that's the way to go. Whatever they want, right?
Anyhow, I'm sure you'll have fun with this assignment!

I forgot to mention before, congrats to Catnipp333 and JD. I'm sorry you didn't hear anything from them Celeste but you never know what can happen, you may still hear something. ^^
I will ask about the bundling too. Thanks for suggesting that!
By the way, the client posted that they will purchase the first two trial assignments on Monday morning. If they are not through the editing process by then, should I just post a message in the question area letting them know it may take a while to get through and I'll let them know when it does?

tifferbugz,
CONGRATS to you also!
If your articles have not gone through I would definitely let them know. Before you asked about putting the article in the "summary" area -- I (personally) always put mine there so they can "see" what they are getting & request "changes/adjustments" BEFORE they buy them. You could ask them, but this is what I do.

Great suggestion! I'll do that next time. I have one through editing so far which they have purchased and approved. Since the other was actually submitted first, I'm pretty sure it'll get through today.^^
Thank you so much for your help.

Yes, congrats Catnipp333 and Tifferbugz (don't think I've done this yet!).
About posting the content in the article details, I always post the complete article content in anyway, whatever the request. However, for a private request, I don't give a detailed summary of the article as I assume that the customer knows what the article's about, and for a private request the summary doesn't have to do as much work as it does otherwise.
Good luck!

JD - Congrats "right back at you"! You state:

I agree & do the same. I simply put "For private request" or "For (buyers website)" or "For (buyers name)". One of my requesters did ask me to put a summary, which I do for him - otherwise I do not.

The only issue that I have with requests like these is that if they are posted in the middle of the night (as this one was) those of us on the West Coast (hi Celeste) are at a real disadvantage. By the time we replied, it seems as if it were all full. I wonder if there is a way to make this more of a level playing field? I'd bet that most of the assignments were from an earlier time zone.

I am in central time so it posted around 5:30am here. I'm not sure what time I responded exactly but it definitely wasn't before 9 or 10am. I guess that is still pretty early for you guys on the west coast.
Speaking of this request. I know that sometimes things are edited out of order, but I had one that was accepted last night and the other (which I submitted earlier) that has yet to be reviewed. Is that still in the normal range? Just checking.
Sorry if it got missed. There's been a big influx of submissions lately, so it's possible it was skipped over by accident. Rest assured, it'll get taken care of.
It's no problem. You guys have been very busy lately by the looks of the requested content board! Thank you.

Kat DeLong,
If you want to look at it that way about the time -- it works "both ways" -- you guys "out west" will catch the requests that come in late while us east coasters are off to bed - sleeping. Most mornings I get up there are requests that have come in over night OR at least later than I am online. SO, it should "even out" in that sense! There have been SEVERAL that went up "late" for me, but not for you guys.
Just my 2 cents!

Hi. I can understand your frustration. If it's any consolation, I'm in western Canada, 7 hours behind GMT. I responded mid-morning Saturday.
I don't think that implementing any sort of embargo on the issue of requests would make it any fairer, as from what I can gather there are writers from all over the world on this board, so any release time would be the "wrong" time for someone somewhere...
