I think only one person stole it but he's posted it on two websites (the cheek!)

http://www.articlesbase.com/authors/mike/234952.htm

I've let Support know and am in the process of emailing the two websites above to let them know to remove his profile.

Heh, my "How to Train Your Dog to Catch a Frisbee" is on both his sites too. I laugh becuase this is at least the second time someone has stolen this article. If it's so popular, why won't someone buy it?

Off to write Support. I HATE article thieves!

Support made the webmaster of the site take down one of the links - did yours get removed too, Debbie?

Also, does any one know what the procedure is for plagiarised articles? I found one of my articles that looked like it had been run through a thesaurus, with adjectives replaced, posted on a blog. I feel like someone took one of my babies and genetically re-engineered it into frankenstein. Can CC make bloggers take down plagiarised content?

This is my poor monsterised article:

This is the original:

Thanks for the heads up, Peggy.

My dog health tips was up on both sites: ArticleBase appears to have taken them off. Have just shot off a mail to support about the linkroll stolen content.

Debbi, the link to Mike's page seems to have been removed, so I guess all his stolen articles have been taken down?

Peggy - I read somewhere here that blogspot is pretty good about removing plagiarised content if you complain to them. But do also inform support.

CW,

It appears Mike's articlebase page is gone (yay!), but the linkroll page is still showing my frisbee dog article. I think I gave both those links to Support, but I only wrote to articlebase directly. Guess I'll write to linkroll as well.

I have written to Linkroll, but have not received any reply. so am relying on cc to get the content removed - the stuff is still up -

Hope support can work at getting down the articles fast.

Mailing - rather contacting Linkroll through the contact us link and the form - does not seem to have had any effect - Mike's page with all the stolen content is still up and merry five days later. Debbi, have you had any luck? Or any of the others whose content has been stolen?

Support? Have you had any luck with LinkRoll? Mike' s articles are still up. I have had no response from them and don't know how to proceed. What should be the next step? Any ideas?

Mine is still up there. I sent an email through their contact form but no reply so far. I did a whois on linkroll.com but got little information. You used to be able to get the name, address, and phone number of the Registrant, but didn't find anything.

Support, do you have a crystal ball to find out something more?

Wow! The rewrite was so brutalized and unreadable, it would almost be worth letting him get away with it just so he would look dumb to future readers. There is no way I would: re-visit, click, or link on any site with that kind of content. But then again, I'm new to this and I don't know if that kind of activity can may make him some money.

Article thief Mike and LinkRoll are still going strong - with many titles that appear to be from CC. Support, have you had any response? Anybody has any ideas on what we can do next?

Support does not usually respond in this particular forum. Please send another email about this problem.

Thanks,
Ed
