Typos are bad :(

A new customer contacted me to ask if I would be interested in writing 10-20 100 word articles and what my rate was... I accidentally told him $0.75 per word when I actually meant $0.075!

He replied that the rate was far too high for his budget. I sent a hasty email apologising for my missing decimal point but he hasn't come back with a reply yet. I blame myself for not checking the figures before hitting the "Send" button, but fingers crossed he returns!

Typos cost sales, people, even in prelim emails. Boo! :(

Ouch! That is not good. Hopefully the customer will understand, but his confidence may be shaken by the mistake. :(

Clearly not my day - got my first article rejection in about six months just then... think I'll take the rest of today off. Tomorrow is, as Scarlett said, another day. Thanks for weighing in, Celeste - I hope he gets my message!
