What Sells an What Doesn't?

Just out of curiousity, is there any information on what subjects sell the most at constant content?

It would be interesting to see if there is a stronger market for the various categories, and perhaps what sells at the highest prices (by word count and by category).

I have a love for statistics (don't groan!) and numbers, so I'm just wondering if this has been looked at?

Just curious and thanks!

Your not alone, all authors just love this info. You can view recently purchased items through the "Recently Sold Content" link off to the left in the Author section.

In my experience the highest priced articles that sell are those that are well written, well researched and give specifics not just marketing fluff. Some of my higher priced articles had industry specifics - almost like a business-to-business flavor to them, but of course written to anyone (consumer, retailer, wholesaler, manufacturer) in that industry. As far as categories - it just jumps around, I haven't even tried to keep track.
