Changing posted cost for fictional story

This is Grandma Beames once again. My story The Fairy Ring has been accepted. Is there a time limit on its posting. That is it has been posted for approx 2 weeks and has had 26 hits but no offers. How long does it stay "posted"? Also I am learning, slow but sure. Is is possible to change the Usage price requested. I based it on the length of the story but then people can buy a book for less than $30. Would it be better to change it to say $10 in the hope that someone will make an offer? Advice please and thank you for your time and trouble. Hope Easter Rabbit has been good to you all!! I shall look out for answers.

All articles stay available to customers until the author decides to take them down.
Don't sell yourself short. See Writer's Exchange for a discussion on fair pricing.

Grandma Beames,
There is no time limit that I know of & I "hear" all the time about articles selling when you least expect it for what you want, but each circumstance is different. I have some still listed from when I joined in November of last year. What I did was use the new "best offer" feature on some of them so I wouldnt have to lower my prices, but letting them know I would accept offers on them. Others I have gone in and changed the prices to lower ones. There are many of the authors who have 100's of articles just waiting to sell & I guess it is up to you as to if you want to sell them for less or wait for the "right buyer" to come along. You can change any of the prices at any time -- go to "Your Content" & click on the "Edit" & make your changes to the prices and "Save Changes" or you can add the "Best Offer" to them. It really is up to you as to what you will take. I am doing this full time & can NOT afford to give my stuff away & I also feel we deserve a fair price for our work. One thing you can do also is add more keywords to the list making it show up in more searches (you can do this by doing the "Edit" as described above)-- this may help.
GOOD LUCK TO YOU & hope this may help some!

I can honestly say I am so happy to be part of this venue!! Everyone is so helpful and generous with their help and advice. I am very grateful. I really do appreciate your taking time out of your busy schedules to answer me and I will indeed take your advice Catnipp333! First of all I realize that iIneed to be patient and also thank you to Ed for your answer also. God Bless one and all!! It is very encouraging to know there is all this support. As you are aware I am sure that writing is a solitary occupation but I do get almost all of my stories based on those I made up for my grandchildren (probably most grandparents do).
