Question About the Order of Reviewing Articles

I just finished writing and submitting an article for a public request that just came out today.

However, when I went to the home page I saw that several articles already were accepted and listed on the public request topic that I wrote about.

I have had 1 article on review for 2 days and another that I submitted yesterday. I deduct that both had been submitted sooner than the ones accepted for the request I wrote about, as said request did not show up until today. I wonder why that is?

Do I have to wait longer to get my articles reviewed because I am new? I am not trying to step on anyone's toes, I just want to know what I need to do to become established. I don't mind waiting, but I would like to know in what order articles get reviewed, and if there is anything I can do to help out to make it go faster. (Besides submitting carefully proof read and edited work of course).

I have browsed the forum topics, read all the FAQ etc. I do appreciate all the effort of the staff.

Our editors will approve or reject articles written for requests first. But our editors only work certain hours so your article may have missed the first batch of reviews for this content. This is my guess but one of our editors will surely reply.

Yep, I had stopped editing for the evening before your article was submitted. We have hundreds of authors. Some are faster at submitting to requests than others. Some authors submit for requests before I even see the requests.

LOL. Yes, my day job got in the way I am afraid, so I can relate to the hours issue. Thanks again.
