How will I know when a requester has responded to my question?

You should receive an email notification.

In addition, please refer to the rejection notice "sticky" in the rejection forum. You will see that it states:
Fill Out Usage Field – Constant Content, at one time, accepted articles that could be downloaded by the purchaser for free. However, we no longer offer free content and do not accept content that is offered for free authors. Unfortunately, if you do not fill out the usage field when determining for what you will sell your article, your article will appear as free for purchase. This field must always contain a number.

It is essential that you ask about something you don't understand or seek documentation about it so that you do not risk having your article rejected. We do not reject articles arbitrarily. Thanks.
