Photography or Illustration

I'm new to CC but I'm interested in submitting visual media. What I'm confused about is whether a computer generated, photographic quality picture, would be listed as an illustration or a photo. Many of these images look like a photo at first glance but they weren't produced with a camera.

I use the 3D animation and rendering software called Blender.

I'd appreciate any response. Thanks

I would put these in illustrations. A caution, though - I don't know what the status is of this section of CC. We have some technical difficulties a few weeks ago and these might have been casualties.
