Pricing for Requested Content

Post by piscesgrrl »

I wrote an article to meet the request of a buyer. In the information it states they will pay a certain amount for said article. Is that how I price my article then? If I price it lower (to sell) then I risk making less. If I price it higher and the original requester doesn't buy it, it may not appeal to other buyers. What do you recommend?

Thanks for advising.

If you're writing an article for a specific request then it's best to take account of all the info the customer provides, including their budget. I would advise keeping the price of your article within the customer's stated budget. If the customer doesn't buy your article, then you can always re-price (especially if you feel the price is too low).

Thank you for the prompt reply, Jane!

I did price my article within the range (the low end, actually) listed by the buyer. My concern, actually, is that it is a fairly high price (comparatively) and I believe that will deter others from buying it if the original requester doesn't purchase it. I'm glad to know I can re-price it later if need be.

Thank you!
