RE: Public Request Q&A: etiquette regarding response

Post by AThompson »

I am writing an article for one of the public requests, and to ensure it was what the requester wanted, I Q&A'd. I have received a response, so...

Should I use the Q&A function to send another message to him/her thanking them for the response, confirming I got the response, etc? Should I just leave it and they'll "hear from me" when I submit my article?

Don't want to offend,
thanks for any info,
:)

EDIT:
...................okay, I just went back to the public requests and the request is no longer there! I have a copy of the request (when I check requests, I copy/paste them into openoffice as a text document so I can refer to them when not on line).
The request was dated April 3. I got the email response from the requester TODAY, so presumably they are still interested...so how can I submit anything to them?

baffled.

Hi,

I just looked at the requests dated April 3rd in my email and found the "overcoming obstacles" request along with several others with that date. Then I looked at the Recently Sold area and saw that a bunch of "overcoming obstacle" /inspirational articles just sold. That tells me that the customer must've found enough articles that met his or her needs, bought them, and then closed the request.

Just my best guess here - not sure if I'd bother writing the article or not as the request looks like it's been filled.

I was thinking that too, but the emailed response I got from the requester was today!

Perhaps he sent me his request encouraging me to submit a few days ago and it takes time for the response to be relayed to me through the CC website?

I am trying to reconcile his apparent encouragement with his removal of the request from the list....maybe I'll take your advice and just skip it.

~~sigh~~ glad I didn't invest much time into it yet!

Thanks Celeste!
