Problems uploading Bio Pic

I am trying to change the picture in my Bio to a more professional looking picture.
It is a JPG file, and is 123x123 pix.

However, the file is not uploading for some reason. I have not been able to find any FAQs to help me on this one.

Any suggestions?

My next step is to contact support, but I wanted to see if this was a "DOH!" issue or not first.

Have you tried uplaoding a different image just to see if _any_ pic will upload? Maybe the pic is too small? I don't remember seeing anything about bio pics anywhere. Does it give you an error message?

Thanks for the ideas Debbi!
So far the message is just "No file uploaded" type of thing.
Since I posted I have tried a BMP, PNG, and the JPG file.
I will try different pictures to see if anything works, and I will post back here with anything I discover.

Success!
I cropped a digital photo to try different sizes, and the first one worked. It was over 400 pixels wide and high, so it seems it was an issue of size.
However, I realize now that there may have been extra information added to that first image I tried as xml tags or whatnot. That may have caused problems as well.

Where would be the best to place to inquire if something could be added (or made more visible if its there already) about Bio pics?

A simple few steps, examples of why it might be rejected, a link to best practices for writer head-shots, etc.

Hmm... tips for a good author dust jacket or promotional picture... that sounds like a good article to write!
