Byline and Word Count

Okay, I did a search on this to no avail. So, my question is - If you include the title and byline in the file you upload, do you include title and byline in the word count?

I kinda round it. If I write a 605 word article and 8 of those words are my title and byline, then I put 600 words in my article details. If I write a 630 word article and 8 words are title and byline, I list it at 625 or 620.

i just count the article words not the title or byline.
