Byline Placement

Post by KateDaniels »

I read that we are to put our byline directly under the title. When I am submitting the article, do I insert it in the title box or at the very top of the article body? Thanks, Linda

Hey, Linda. Here's how I do it:

Title
by Byline

First paragraph

As in:

How to Take the Spleen Out of a Cat
by Evelyn Fielding

First paragraph

Hope that helps you!

I put my byline in both the article as Evelyn demonstrated and in the Long Summeray of the Submit Article form.

Evelyn, leave that poor cat alone! If you take out its spleen, how will it vent?

I realize I am probably totally dense here. So, I place the byline right into the word doc page, at the top. This as opposed to inserting it into the template on CC?

Yes. The customer will download the Word document, so if you want your byline published for unique or usage rights, it needs to be where the customer can readily find it.
