What is MLA style?

I haven't heard of this before. A requester mentioned it in their request and I was wondering what it was.

It's a stylistic method, which stands for the Modern Language Association. Basically, it's a set of guidelines on how to correctly format and cite your writing. It's one of many styles, like APA, Chicago, and Turabian. Some academic areas prefer one style over another, like English prefers a different style than Biology. At least from my experience.
