Approved!!!
New to constant content. Generally how long does it take to get your first article approved and do all articles we submit here need to be approved. Thanks in advance ~L.L.Hill
Re: Approved!!!
Yes, every article has to be approved before it can be put up for sale.
Review times are variable. Articles submitted for public or private requests have priority, usually 1-2 days. On spec articles can take as long as a week, sometimes longer if the voulume of submissions is high.

FYI, there are now a few editors at CC... there used to be just Ed. So, the review process is probably a lot faster now.

Re: Approved!!!
My first two articles were approved very swiftly. Both were for a public request. The first one was rejected because I mentioned in the summary that it was part of a series and the 2nd one was approved literally in 15 minutes. However, my next two articles are still under review and it has been two days.
I'm still learning the rhyme or reason behind everything.
I do hope my articles are approved soon because, well, public requests I thought received priority.
Good Luck!

Re: Approved!!!
I know, but I submitted my articles for review on Wednesday. I think I got spoiled by the two swift approvals!
Hopefully by Monday I'll hear something. Patience is a virtue I hear lol too bad I'm somewhat short on it... gotta work on that.
Have a great weekend Antonia!

Oh, man, I really only subscribed to try this avenue out, I use other multiple avenues for writing that are much more convenient. I am beginning to think this was a waste of my time. They should think of a way to streamline the process. Because they are surely losing writers because of this, probably not short on money though, since it appears the whole team is on vacation.

Re: Approved!!!
Once you get settled in, the review times aren't much of an inconvenience. It's harder on newcomers to CC because they tend to be nervous about getting those first few articles accepted and moving carefully, one article at a time. Once you're more established and submitting regularly, you'll have articles sprinkled throughout the queue. Hopefully you'll find the wait worthwhile

Re: Approved!!!
I find the wait worthwhile, I just get nervous that the 2 requests I am submitting for probably have already been filled. :: le sigh ::
I wouldn't mind writing for another few places just to get more articles out there. Alas, I don't know of any other content sites such as this.
As an elance refugee lol i'll take CC over that ANY day.
I was writing 600 word articles for full license and getting $7 a pop. I came to CC and my first article was purchased for $30 as soon as it was approved!
So yeah, I can totally deal with the wait time.

Re: Approved!!!
I forgot it was still Friday in some parts of the world. LOL. (It's now 2am on Sunday for me...why am I still awake?)
@LLHill--I guess it depends on what's more important to you, short-term convenience or long-term profit. Would you rather have $12 today or $30 in a week? For me it's a no-brainer. I know it can seem like forever when you're waiting for your first acceptance, but as Celeste says, once you're submitting regularly you never notice the wait. Every day brings a new acceptance, sale, or both...
Have a happy weekend everyone. Don't stay up too late reading blogs and forums.
