Account Balance Question

Post by catnipp333 »

Is there any where that shows the break down of the money owed under "account"? I have a total amount owed for all articles sold, but is there any place that shows how much I sold each for?
Or do I have to go to each article listed under "licenses sold" & "do the math" for each article to get a total?
Also, I sold 3 before the 29th, but have not received anything in my PayPal -- its the 3rd now, when is payment usaully sent?
I'm trying to figure out how much I need to track my account so I can keep up with what sold, what is owed & when to expect it.
I APPRECIATE ANY INFO & THANKS!!!

I use a simple spreadsheet to track all my articles - it's easy to do if you're comfortable with MS Excel. I enter the title, # of words, time spent writing, fee charged, date sold etc.... from there, I can calculate how much I'm earning per word (after the 35% fee), how much per hour etc... It doesn't take much time to set up and it lets you know how best to spend your time. I can even look at sales per month, per customer, per request type (private or public), calculate closing ratios and more -- but then again, I am a geek :D .

Hey, maybe I can post an Excel template under the free usage...? Hmmn, I'll try that if you want.

Celeste Stewart,
THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE REPLY!!!
I will take that as they do no have it broken down anywhere.
When do you usually get your PayPal payment? I had three before the 29th, but haven't received payment for them.
I have MS Office Pro & I would LOVE a template from Excel -- I was thinking of doing a database for all my articles using Access, but dont really have the "time" -- you know -- been writing!!!
I LOVE ALL the "details" you have , guess I'm a geek also -- nothing wrong with geeks!!!
Let me know if you are going to put the template up -- you will save me SO MUCH TIME as I have been putting it off "waiting" for time!
THANKS AGAIN!!!

I'll figure a way to post it for you. Bear with me....

I was also going to eventually do it in Access but the system I have right now works fine and is easy.

I'll be in touch soon!

Payment varies, sometimes I get several in a month but lately it's been more like one or two -- but they always come through no problem.

Hi, ok, I have a file for you but the CC system won't let me upload an Excel file - who knew?

Let me see if I can upload it to a blog or something.....
