A question about private requests

Post by chrissponias »

Hi!

I had my first private request yesterday. I wrote my article, however I want to know if I have to write also the 2 summaries and the keyword list.

Since this is a private request, this means that I don’t have to convince anyone to purchase the article. Thus, the summaries have no meaning. However, since this is my first time, I’m not so sure that they are not necessary.

Thank you!

When I get a private request from a new customer (to me) or one with a zero purchase rating, I'll usually include a short summary because there's a chance that the customer won't buy and the article will be released to the general public.

For customers who have purchased several articles from me, those with higher purchase ratings, and repeat private requesters, I'm much more confident that they know my work and will buy, so I just put "For a private request" or something similar in the short summary. If the client indicates that the content is destined for an article directory, then I'll write a short summary and include it in the document because the client will need that for the directory.

I never fill in the keyword box for private requests. Since your customer has a direct link to the article, they don't need to search for it - making the keywords useless.

I do the same as Celeste for short summaries. For the long summary, you'll still have to post 1/3 of the article. I usually post the entire article. That way, the customer can read it over and if it needs any changes, I can easily make them before the customer purchases the article.
