I think I goofed

Post by Kathleen »

When I got my first email the link for the FAQs didn't work. So this may have been in there and I didn't get to see it.

Am I correct that when I submitted my articles I needed to put my byline in the body in order to get the byline? (did that make sense). Can I somehow edit the article to put my name in there? When I click edit, its just the price, etc. I don't see how to get to the actual article.

Also, how do I know where my sold article is being used? It shows as sold but I don't know who bought it or what site it will be on. And I guess it will be minus the byline.

Sorry, I'll get the hang of this yet. So hope you will be patient with my silly questions.

Thanks,
Kathleen

Hi, Kathleen. I think you do have to include your byline in the actual article if you want it to appear when the article is sold (and if you sell full rights, the buyer will have the right to take it out again and pass the article off as theirs).

In order to edit the actual text of the article, the only way I've found so far is to delete the article, make the changes on your computer, and go through the whole uploading process again. Constant or Ed may be able to give you better advice.

Thank you! :) I have emailed support to see if they can fix it for me. I can't delete it because it has sold once. I have it up for useage only. So hopefully they will be able to help me.

I've submitted another article and under the title I put "written by...". I hope that is the correct way to do it. I'm sure after a few more articles I will get the hang of this.

For some reason it is taking a while for this to all "click" but as long as CC is patient with me I think I'll get it.

Thanks so much for the reply.
