Hello fellow drones
I have a question: how do you capitalise animal names?
For instance, what would I do with Red Winged Starling (or red winged starling).
And does this apply to dishes on a menu - for instance Giant Tiger Prawns (or giant tiger prawns).
Any advice would be helpful.
Thanks
David

Re: Question about animal & menu names
Hi there
On an actual menu it is acceptable to capitalise menu items but they should not be capitalised if you are writing a descriptive passage about said menu items.
Animal names are a little more complicted but the way I understand it and using the example you gave, is that it would remain a non-capitalised red wing starling unless of course there was a key naming word in with the animal name, for instance if it was the German version of the breed (if there was such a thing) it would become the German red wing starling.

As far as I remember, they shouldn't be capitalized in general, nn-specific meaning. NAmes of animals should be capitalized treated from the scientific point of view.
