Blog submission or article, What is the difference?

Post by Mary Shows »

I am new here. Please forgive me if this is a dumb question. What is the difference between a blog submission and an article submission? Don't get me wrong, I know what a blog is, but since some requests say "blog style" and you have to submit them in a blog category, I am assuming there is some difference in the writing style. Would someone mind clearing this up for me?

Supposedly, the writing style is more casual in a blog, and the use of the pronoun "I" is more acceptable. Blogs may also be shorter than a full article, but some people have been pushing this.

However, we've been having some problems of late - people seem to think that a blog is just a bunch of words with little meaning behind them. Blogs should still engage the reader and provide something useful, such as information or entertainment.

I'm not sure that this is much help. When in doubt, articles are the way to go.

Thank you for the information. I will probably stick to articles until I have had a little more experience.
