Dazed and Confused

I hope it's true there is no such thing as a dumb question because I may have a few more before I get the kinks worked out. I chose an article out of requested content and don’t have the required 5 articles to send it from there and so am trying to submit it the other way as requested. After the content excerpt typing field there appears to be a much smaller field next to keywords instructions. My question is, do I paste the article in that spot or, a link to it? Pasting didn't work and there are only 3 days left for this one. Please help, I want to make a good impression. Thank you.
