Hello all
I'm new to CC and have only written a handful of articles so far, and today received my first sale - yay! I'm planning on writing a series of articles about management, I've gained management qualifications through work so I thought I could use my studying to my advantage (other than at work!). One question I have relates to referencing theories in my articles. For example, if I'm talking about Victor Vroom's Expectancy Theory, can I just talk about it and assume that readers will be aware of it or search it out for themselves, or should I reference a webpage that explains it?
Many thanks in advance for your advice!
Emily

Re: Referencing theories
As this has taken a while to be posted (I presume as it was my first post?) I thought I'd bump it a bit
I've now just had my 6th article accepted, phew, and have to ask - does it get easier waiting for the confirmation? I keep seeing 'permanent suspension' on the forums, and although I'm fairly confident in my writing abilities, proofread thoroughly and learn from any rejections, my heart is still in my mouth every time I see an email from CC. It's exciting as well as slightly scary though!
Re my original question, I've written a management article but haven't yet submitted as I'm not 100% happy with it, I've put it aside and will go back to it in a week or two with a fresh pair of eyes. I have actually included a website in it (with the www removed as I think the guidelines state?), but not sure whether to remove it completely?
Many thanks all!
