Setting up Paypal account

When writers set up their paypal accounts, do you set the account up as a merchant? (Not a buyer?) What is the recommended way to establish an account to use with CC?

Use a personal account. When you take in enough money that you need to have a merchant account, they will automatically upgrade you. The merchant account takes out fees for every transactions, but the personal account does not.

What info should be placed in the CC author's paypal account info?

It's the email address you used to register your Paypal account - i.e. the email address you use when you log into your Paypal account.

(If I've got that wrong, then I'm sure someone will kindly let us know! Please...)

JD is correct. Use the e-mail address you used to sign up with PayPal.
