I was just wondering on average about how long it takes a submitted article to be picked up by a customer. I realize there are a lot of things to consider, but is there a ball park idea of how long it generally takes?
No set time. I've had a public request article picked up about 20 minutes after it was approved. That was nice. I've also written articles for public requests that weren't purchased by the requester, but were eventually purchased by other customers months later. That kind of sale is nice too. : )
I recently sold an article from January 2006 and another from December 2007. Don't get discouraged, though - keep writing and submitting. Soon, you'll have current and future sales in the works. In my case, both of these sales were pleasant surprises - like icing on the cake.
