Can't Upload Article

I am trying to upload my first article, but after filling in all the necessary information and clicking submit files, the page simple refreshes itself with most of my information still intact. I think I'm suppose to make changes or have supplied some incorrect info, but it's not clear what. I've read everything I can find to see where my problem might be. I am attempting to upload a doc file so I know it's not the file type. Any help is appreciated.

You actually have to "browse" for your file directly after you choose a category for your article. It is the second entry on the submission form. The button at the bottom should actually read "Submit," or "Submit Article" or "Send Submission." Sorry about the confusion.

Thanks,

Even when you've attached the file, and you click on the 'submit' button, the whole page refreshes itself before it then finally disappears. However, because the site is running very slowly at the moment and the page re-appears for longer than it normally does, if you don't know this, then you might think that you need to do something to get it to finally go. Just wait a few seconds longer and it will.

Good luck!

Yes Ed, I understand that. Browse brings up the window that allows me to choose the file on my computer that I want to upload. I did that about 6 times. The file title shows up in the file window but never uploads after pressing the submit button at the bottom.
Jane, I don't think that's the problem as the page sat quite a while before I tried again. When I click submit that will then upload the article, the page refreshes as I mentioned, with the information in the file box, the short description and keywords gone. The rest of my info is still there. It's as though I'm being asked to redo these but there's nothing that points that out.
An interesting note that might be of some help, I would also like to purchase some articles, but when I try to do a search, it takes me as far as subcategories and then just refreshes when I click one. It's similar to the problem I have when I try to upload. So I'm thinking it may be due to a cookies problem or possibly my firewall, ZoneAlarm. Also I'm using Firefox browser so not sure if that might be an issue.

Are you sure you are submitting your document in a format that CC can accept? This is covered somewhere in the guidelines or help section.

Yes... doc. I read the guidelines and then when I started having problems, I double checked them and looked through the FAQ and did a search in the forums before I posted.

At this point, if you're still having problems, all I can suggest is to email support. And/or clear your cookies, use a different browers, and see what happens when you disable your firewall.

Thanks Ed. :D I agree. I think it's just something particular to my computer.
