Is there a way to link an approved picture to an approved article? I've been reading the forums and read the help section, I can't seem to figure it out.

Can't be done. You can have pics in the articles you submit, ie in the document you attach, but that is not recommended as customers like to be able to choose how to illustrate. Another way is to cross refer in the short summaries of both the picture and the article (you can just edit them if they have already been submitted). Then the customer can choose to pay extra for the photo, or not.
