Is this a Private Request? I'm confused!

Hi all,
Forgive me if his is a dumb question, but I'm still fairly new to Constant Content and freelance writing.
I have a new request that I assumed was a public request until I realized it is listed as a Private Request. Its showing up on my Requested content page just above the Public Requests and is labeled as a Private Request. There's also an icon (a triangle with an exclamation point) in the New Messages box--but I can't find a message.
My question is, is this a Private Request or a Public Request that got mislabeled? And what's with the New Message?
PS--I've written for Public Requests and sold a few--so I know how that works. But as far as I know, I haven't gotten any Private Requests yet--so I'm not sure what's going on.
