Hi,

There are whole bunch of articles that are offered on CC, but they are already posted online, and there is no disclosure about this fact. For example, “How to Lose Weight Throughout the Day” is already posted online, but it is for sale on CC, and it says there are zero downloads for it.

I thought CC is handling this properly or am I getting this wrong?

In this case, the article is posted for sale for "Usage" rights only. This means that the author has full rights to the article and can sell it to customers on CC as well as to other customers elsewhere for usage. In addition, the author can use it however he or she feels fit such as posting it on a personal blog or website. Since it's a usage license, this is all fine. If the article in question were offered for unique or full rights, then there would be a major problem. Fortunately, this isn't the case here.
