Have I just earned it, or is it something new? What do I do with it? I'm excited, but confused!

I'm guessing it's something new... I just noticed it too, either last night or this morning. I can't remember which - my days are all combining into one :P

Ahh. Great. This is so everyone can get their messages.
I am thrilled.

And who are we going to get messages from?

The shadow, gremlins, and spam meisters. Just kidding.
I assume it will replace the current messaging system when corresponding with customers. Instead of having to hunt for the original request and seeing if there's a message, you should be able to view it and respond to it in your inbox. Maybe Ed's approvals/rejects will go there too? Just my interpretation.

Celeste,
I believe you are right about the spam meisters! My first email has arrived and it is disappointing to see what it is. I really don't need another inbox to police.
Perhaps a few bugs need to be worked out yet?

As of this morning, the inbox is not taking IN messages from clients :( I got a message and it still went to the Q&A. Bummerish.

The initial rollout was in a basic format, but eventually, all correspondance related to CC should go there. This is to circumvent the lost email problem as well as give everyone an easy way to archive messages. Let me know if you start seeing your approval notices.

I got an email from a customer offering a different price than I had set. Cool new feature!

Out of curiosity, is this because you had "best offer" checked on the article's preview page?

Actually, Ed, no, I did not check that box. That is probably why the customer emailed me.

You can message other writers but so far, I haven't figured out how to send a message to customers - guess I'll still use the QA links.

So it is a pmail function?
Cool
Edited to add
I just looked at it. How do you do that?
It shows only 2 functions. "Inbox" and "Sent Messages."
