Question from Lor

Post by Ed »

Ed,
I'm working on an article about seductive foods. It's certainly not sexually explicit, but it does mention "penis" and "female sex organs," in relationship to look-a-like foods and how in history these foods were thought to inspire sex and fertility. Should I give it a pass? I'm sure a line is drawn when it's pornographic or demeaning to either sex, but how wide is the line? I just want to be sure before I continue.

Thanks
Lorraine

As long as it's tasteful and respectful, and the statements are backed up by solid information, it shouldn't be a problem. The site doesn't need to be child-friendly, but we do require that articles aren't demeaning to anyone.

Ed,
I'm so relieved this post was a move. When it disappeared, I thought perhaps we weren't allowed to mention the P word. I had a little shocked smile on my face for a minute or so. :):) "Say it ain't so," I thought to myself.

Thank you for responding. Sigh of relief here.

Sorry to freak you out. We're all adults here (I think).
