Hello, all! I am very new here, and haven't written any type of article since college. What is the best way to cite sources? I love to write, but am starting to feel anxious because I am not able to find clear answers regarding this subject on Constant Content. I have noticed that a lot of articles on the web do not cite sources. I want to do this the correct way, so any help at all would be greatly appreciated!

Hi there,
If you're citing website addresses CC does not accept whole links such as
http://www.constant-content.com, but will accept Constant Content.com or Constant Content dot com.
From guidelines
"We do not consider ... Submissions that contain website addresses or links, except by specific customer request."
Hope that helps and good luck here.
Lor

I think you can cite a company, like Lor described below. I'm not 100% on this, but you can also cite them in the short summary.

Ed's blog has a brief post on this:

Scroll down to "Referencing Sources."

Thank you all very much for your help in this matter. So, if I may ask, do most of the articles you submit contain a bibliography page?

Hi,
I have never submitted a bibliography page for any article, so it obviously not necessary. I've had a pretty good hit rate with sales. I think the majority of customers want articles that direct readers further into their own websites, rather than away for more information. If you want to include a brief list of sources at the end of the article, that should be ok (keeping website links out as the others have already said!) Some types of articles such term papers would obviously need a strong bibliography, but for general articles I don't think it is necessary.
Good luck,
Kind regards,
Hayley
