Advertising yourself elsewhere?

I'm a member of a few different forums, and I was thinking of adding a link to my author's page here on CC into my signature or profile page on other sites. Something like 'Freelance writer for hire. See my articles here: (My CC page link)'

Is this OK, or frowned upon?

I always understood we could always advertise our work elsewhere. I link to my portfolio (author's page) all the time. I also talk on my personal website that if a client needs content similar to something I have already written (in my portfolio) I can write it. Also, I highlight Constant-Content's system as a service to my clients who are reluctant to simply pay through Paypal from an email invoice, and instead would like a money-back guarantee, plus more infrastructure (which C-C offers and as an author I'm essentially paying 35% for.). I know at least 2 of my regular clients waaaay back in my heyday last year became C-C buyers.

And just so you know, I didn't lose them or anything. When I stopped writing in October for a much needed family break, I contacted all of my regular clients to let them know I was going to be unavailable, but here is a list of colleagues that can still help them.
